JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer, Core Infra Systems As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Infra Systems team within the Platform group, you will manage cloud and networking foundations that enable reliable operations at scale. You will own cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives across AWS, GCP, and Networking pillars, focusing on standardization, self-service tooling, and paved-road defaults. Your daily work involves building tools that allow product teams to provision cloud infrastructure safely while embedding security and compliance guardrails. You will partner with Compute, Infra Security, and Routing teams to reduce fragmentation across multi-cloud environments. Required expertise includes five years of software engineering experience, specifically three years operating production cloud infrastructure. You must be proficient in backend languages like Go or Python and possess hands-on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, VPCs, transit gateways, DNS, and load balancers.

What you'll do

Own cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives across AWS, GCP, and Networking pillars to drive alignment on standards and tooling.
Build and maintain self-service tools and paved-road defaults for safe cloud infrastructure provisioning.

Lead technical investigations and operational improvements to resolve systemic issues across infrastructure boundaries.
Develop platform tooling and automation using backend languages like Go or Python.
Utilize generative AI to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and output quality.

What we're looking for

5+ years of software engineering experience.
3+ years of experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
Hands-on experience with cloud networking primitives like VPCs, transit gateways, DNS, and load balancers.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
Proficiency in at least one backend language like Go or Python.
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team technical initiatives across multiple infrastructure domains.
Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
