What you'll do

Design, develop, and deploy scalable distributed systems to automate underwriting processes and replace manual tasks.
Build core consumer experiences that leverage AI and follow an API-first design approach.
Develop microservices using technologies such as GraphQL, gRPC, Java, Python, and Kafka.
Implement end-to-end solutions spanning front-end components through API tiers and back-end domain services.
Deploy applications in hybrid cloud environments using Kubernetes and various cloud-native tools.
Manage high-performance, event-driven messaging systems with minimal latency.
Implement security protocols including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth across products.
Participate in design sessions and code reviews to ensure high engineering quality across the organization.

What we're looking for

Fluency and specialization with .NET, Java, and at least one other modern language like C# or Python.
Experience building full-stack applications and service development.
Expertise in API-first engineering, including GraphQL, gRPC, and event-driven architecture.
Experience designing high-performance systems with schema evolution, versioning, and low-latency messaging solutions.
Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Knowledge of SQL databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases like Cosmos or Cassandra.
Experience implementing security protocols including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth.
4+ years of full-stack development experience and 4+ years of architecture and design experience.
