Senior Software Engineer Backend

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end features within the Data Integration platform.
• Develop and maintain high-performance backend services using Java in a cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Build data pipelines, APIs, and integration workflows to move and transform data across cloud environments.
• Implement robust automated unit, integration, and regression tests as a core part of the development workflow.
• Manage production deployment, monitoring, and incident response to ensure system reliability and operational health.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile processes to maintain high standards for code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to align technical solutions with broader platform architecture.

What we're looking for

• Must have 2–4 years of full-time software development experience in a product or enterprise environment.
• Requires deep hands-on experience with Java or a similar JVM language for production-grade code.
• Must have proven experience building and operating scalable, high-throughput RESTful APIs in a cloud environment.
• Requires knowledge of microservices architecture, service discovery, and message queue or event-driven patterns.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is essential.
• Must possess expert knowledge of RDBMS concepts, including advanced SQL writing and query optimization.
• Practical experience with Docker and basic familiarity with Kubernetes for service deployment is required.
• Experience implementing automated unit, integration, and contract tests using frameworks like JUnit or TestNG is required.
