What you'll do

Develop backend applications for various Salesforce clouds including Marketing, Commerce, Sales, and Big Data.
Design, implement, and tune robust APIs that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment.
Integrate internal and external systems while managing large datasets across cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Execute test-driven development practices and utilize CI/CD tools to ensure high-quality software releases.
Perform advanced prompt engineering to create reliable, secure, and production-ready AI outputs.
Build and maintain shared system contexts to enable AI agents to operate accurately within human workflows.
Critically evaluate both human and AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance.
Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve complex technical issues and maintain service availability.

What we're looking for

A related technical degree is required.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of backend software development experience.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, Go, C#, Ruby, Scala, Python, Node.js, or JavaScript is required.
Knowledge of web standards for APIs including REST, SOAP, XML, WSDL, HTTP, and JSON is required.
Experience with Spring, gRPC, REST, and the HTTP protocol is required.
Candidates must demonstrate an AI-first approach to engineering using tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
Advanced prompt engineering skills are required to create reliable, secure, and production-ready AI outputs.
Experience with Agile development methodology and test-driven development practices is required.
