What you'll do

  • Design and build a next-generation reliability platform for production systems using distributed systems engineering and AI-assisted development.
  • Own and deliver quarterly goals while leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended technical problems.
  • Partner with product management and design teams to articulate technical constraints and manage risk trade-offs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues related to projects, processes, technology, or business operations.
  • Monitor system metrics and support "keep the lights on" activities and on-call rotations for team artifacts.
  • Establish and improve code review and design standards to foster a culture of quality and ownership.
  • Develop team talent by providing consistent feedback, guidance, and technical leadership.

What we're looking for

  • You must have at least 4 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience is required in designing, developing, and launching backend systems using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • You must have experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Practical experience with LLMs or AI frameworks to enhance automation and guidance is required.
  • You must be able to define technical plans for significant features with elegant and extensible designs.
  • Proficiency in making significant changes within a large codebase while maintaining safety and quality is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaboration with a global engineering team.
  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
