Senior Software Engineer, Apple Services Engineering, Kubernetes

What you'll do

• Build and enhance Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure to meet global scale demands.
• Develop features for container orchestration and efficient GPU usage within Kubernetes.
• Improve the scalability, availability, and performance of services centered around Kubernetes.
• Evolve system design and architecture to support growth while ensuring smooth operations.
• Engage with the upstream community to drive Apple's specific requirements for core components.
• Partner with SRE teams to triage, investigate, and remediate production issues.
• Develop large-scale distributed systems using Golang.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience is required.
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building and scaling core components of Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems is required.
• Proficiency in Golang is required.
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems is required.
• Experience with enabling GPUs and related networking/scheduling infrastructure on Kubernetes clusters is preferred.
• Ability to drive a project from an initial idea through to production is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams are preferred.
