As a Senior Embedded and Server Software Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team to support the Personal Safety Division's Connected Worker program. You will contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable software and digital solutions for Linux and Windows-based platforms. Your daily responsibilities include developing high-performance C/C++ software for embedded systems, designing low-latency network communications over Wi-Fi, and implementing short-range wireless technologies like Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC, and UWB. You will apply security best practices such as encryption while troubleshooting performance and interoperability across hardware interfaces. The role requires expertise in digital signal processing, audio algorithms, and industrial automation protocols including CIP, OPC-UA, and MQTT. You will solve complex technical problems involving time-critical communications and secure system design for industrial environments.
Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable software for Linux and Windows platforms.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Seven (7) years of full-stack or embedded device software development in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Experience developing high-performance C/C++ software for embedded and device-level systems.
Experience with Linux and Windows-based platforms.
Ability to implement low-latency network communications over Wi-Fi and short-range wireless technologies like Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC, and UWB.
Ability to apply security best practices, including encryption and secure communications, across system design.
Master’s degree in a related technical field (preferred).
Deep knowledge of audio/voice processing algorithms, digital signal processing, and industrial automation protocols like CIP, OPC-UA, and MQTT (preferred).
