Senior Software Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and own backend services and APIs that provide self-service cloud capabilities like account provisioning and networking.
• Convert recurring manual cloud tasks and runbooks into automated, safe-by-default software products and APIs.
• Shape platform interfaces and paved paths based on customer use cases and usage data.
• Design systems for high reliability, including observability, SLOs, and self-healing capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead follow-up work to eliminate entire classes of production problems.
• Utilize AI-assisted and agentic tooling to accelerate the design, implementation, and operation of platform services.
• Influence platform engineering roadmap decisions by applying a product mindset to public cloud enablement.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating backend or platform services in production.
• Solid system design skills for distributed systems and API-based platforms with a focus on simplicity, resiliency, and observability.
• Production experience in Golang or Python (preferred) or another modern language with solid testing and debugging habits.
• Strong experience with at least one public cloud provider (preferably AWS) and its core primitives like VPCs, IAM, and storage.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform, structured as reusable, tested software.
• Working knowledge of cloud security fundamentals including IAM, network segmentation, and policy enforcement.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and/or backend services.
• Experience building internal platforms or developer tooling (preferred).
