The ideal candidate has hands-on experience securing AWS environments, writing production-quality code for security tooling, and strong communication skills to balance security with business needs.

What you'll do

  • Design and harden Zip's AWS architecture to eliminate security misconfigurations.
  • Build and maintain a patch management program for EC2, containers, and Kubernetes nodes.
  • Codify security into infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines using policy-as-code.
  • Lead cloud security initiatives including workload identity, secrets management, and vulnerability detection.
  • Validate and triage security findings from bug bounty programs and third-party pentests.

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience designing and securing AWS environments, including IAM, VPC networking, KMS.
  • Experience writing production-quality code for security tooling using Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and ability to balance security with business requirements.
  • Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes security.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
