Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications within the energy sector.
• Build and implement ML-ready data pipelines for business operations.
• Architect new systems and refactor core components to reduce technical debt.
• Manage infrastructure and code deployment using AWS cloud services.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, and best practices.
• Integrate AI coding tools and develop internal tools to improve development efficiency.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the software stack.

What we're looking for

• Expert-level knowledge of the Rails framework (version 7+) and its core libraries.
• Strong command of automated testing strategies and tools such as Rspec and Capybara.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub Enterprise, and GitHub Actions.
• Applied understanding of agentic development and experience managing work from AI-assisted developers.
• Experience deploying infrastructure and code at scale to AWS cloud services (preferred).
• 9+ years of recent professional experience in full-stack Ruby on Rails development (preferred).
• Experience with IoT systems, edge computing, or data streaming technologies like Flink, Kafka, and Kinesis (preferred).
• Understanding of ML workflows, off-the-shelf ML tools, and energy market ancillary services (preferred).
