What you'll do

  • Design and develop large, complex, and distributed systems to handle high volumes of fixed income trades.
  • Perform thorough requirement analysis and create comprehensive designs for new business features.
  • Develop multi-threaded applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Create and consume RESTful web services while ensuring high performance and low latency.
  • Manage all phases of the development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide technical expertise and coaching to junior analysts and serve as a subject matter expert for stakeholders.
  • Implement security measures and ensure compliance with firm policies and industry regulations.
  • Develop clean, testable code using modern tools like Maven, Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in software development and systems analysis.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Java with at least 5 years of experience specifically in core Java.
  • Expertise in Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
  • Experience developing high-performance, low-latency, multi-threaded applications and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and SQL relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD tools such as TeamCity.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and cloud technologies including Docker, OpenShift, and Artifactory.
