What you'll do

  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN components including Cisco and Palo Alto routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Propose and configure network solutions to optimize cost savings, redundancy, and uptime based on future requirements.
  • Perform installation, reconfiguration, and maintenance of hardware and software elements for voice and data networks.
  • Review system vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to support security requirements and operational procedures.
  • Provide long-range planning and analysis for network infrastructure growth and performance.
  • Coordinate third-party maintenance, procurement, and vendor support for network equipment.
  • Mentor and train team members to improve the overall capability of technical staff.

What we're looking for

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret DOD security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • A University Degree with 8 years of experience or an Advanced Degree with 5 years of experience is required.
  • Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems is required.
  • Experience with current cabling and fiber standards (preferred).
  • Experience with access control list, security posture, and vendor best practices (preferred).
  • Experience with Visio diagramming and design capabilities (preferred).
  • Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and CCNA within a year are highly desired (preferred).
