TL;DR · Senior Power Architect, Power and Performance Analysis Tools

As a Senior Power Architect, Power and Performance Analysis Tools, you will own the architecture, development, and roadmap of critical power estimation platforms used to guide product decisions. You will build scalable software to analyze power-performance behavior across various workloads and configurations while developing models that translate architectural parameters into actionable insights regarding energy efficiency and thermals. The role involves integrating silicon telemetry, performance counters, and simulation data into a unified framework to correlate pre-silicon estimates with post-silicon measurements. You will utilize Python and C++ to create automation and visualization tools for engineering teams. This position requires expertise in SoC architecture, power management concepts like DVFS and gating, and the ability to evaluate trade-offs such as performance per watt. You will solve complex problems regarding how modern SoCs consume power while delivering high performance across diverse hardware platforms.

What you'll do

  • Own the architecture, development, and long-term roadmap of power estimation and analysis tools.
  • Develop scalable software to estimate and analyze power and performance across various workloads and product configurations.
  • Build models that translate architectural parameters and workload behavior into actionable power-performance insights.
  • Create workload models and representative usage scenarios for early architecture exploration and product analysis.
  • Integrate silicon telemetry, performance counters, and simulation data into a unified analysis framework.
  • Correlate pre-silicon estimates with post-silicon measurements to identify modeling gaps and improve prediction accuracy.
  • Build automation, visualization, and reporting capabilities to make complex power analysis accessible to engineering teams.

What we're looking for

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong software development skills in Python, C++, or similar languages to build production-quality engineering tools.
  • Understanding of computer or SoC architecture including processors, memory systems, interconnects, and power-management concepts.
  • Experience with power and performance estimation, performance modeling, architectural exploration, or system-level analysis.
  • Ability to evaluate architecture trade-offs using metrics like performance per watt, energy per task, utilization, latency, throughput, and bandwidth.
  • Familiarity with silicon telemetry, performance-monitoring counters, power sensors, traces, logs, or lab measurement data.
  • Experience developing models for complex SoCs, CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators, or automotive platforms (preferred).
