What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable PostgreSQL database environments.
  • Implement and enforce database security best practices.
  • Monitor and tune database performance for optimal query optimization and index strategy.
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to meet RPO/RTO objectives.
  • Troubleshoot complex database incidents and implement durable corrective actions.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance on effective use of PostgreSQL and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/DevSecOps teams to integrate PostgreSQL management into CI/CD workflows.

What we're looking for

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in technology discipline and at least 5 years of PostgreSQL DBA experience.
  • Expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of database security principles and high availability/disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience integrating PostgreSQL into DevOps workflows and supporting CI/CD processes.
  • DoD 8140 IAT II compliant certification.
