Reliability and Failure Analysis Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and execute reliability programs for display technologies used in wearable devices.
• Lead failure analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure product durability.
• Systematize methods of assessment to meet quality and reliability requirements.
• Implement data collection and reduction techniques for real-time accessible data.
• Identify high-risk failure modes early in the design life cycle and reduce risk.
• Support new technology developments with a systemic approach for risk prioritization.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated history working with EMS for reliability test plans and communicating results.
• Experience operating SEM/EDX, FTIR/DSC/TGA, CT X-ray, optical microscopy, OMM/CMM, Instron, potting/polishing cross-sections, and red-dye.
• Solid understanding of Six Sigma concepts and capability to run Weibull and model-based reliability analyses.
• Background in FA, reliability testing, and technology development with 7+ years of experience.
• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, chemistry, physics or equivalent required.
