Senior Network Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop new applications for building highly scalable core network systems.
• Develop software systems to improve engineering and operational metrics including reliability, visibility, and efficiency.
• Build tools for the Core platform using distributed systems, fault-tolerant systems, and high-performance analytics.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external use.
• Manage and optimize relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and techniques to streamline software deployment.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure services using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure and manage network infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

What we're looking for

• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• Expert proficiency with modern programming languages and frameworks, specifically Python, Django, or Golang.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL.
• Strong background in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience using CI/CD tools and techniques.
• Experience with Linux system administration and application containerization technologies like Docker and Kube.
• Experience developing infrastructure and services in cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of network protocols (BGP, MPLS, TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP, UDP, DNS) and monitoring protocols (Netflow, SNMP).
