Senior Network Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Deploy and manage firewalls, load balancers, and IDS/IPS solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
• Review and provide feedback on network architecture designs to ensure robust security integration.
• Utilize telemetry and advanced analytics to improve network observability and proactive threat detection.
• Define and maintain security guidelines for infrastructure to ensure compliance with defense-in-depth standards.
• Execute vulnerability management programs, including patching and bug scrubs, to eliminate potential threats.
• Design Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and controls for global networking services.
• Lead incident response efforts by investigating alerts, performing root cause analysis, and executing remediation plans.
• Provide operational tools and documentation to the global operations team for rapid first-response to incidents.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of dedicated network security experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise in secure cloud-native and hybrid network architectures across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing Fortigate (FortiManager), Arista, Cisco, and Cumulus OS devices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IDS/IPS, SSL inspection, URL filtering, and anti-malware/bot mitigations.
• Strong understanding of network virtualization (VRFs, VxLAN) and dynamic routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
• Experience managing logging pipelines and telemetry tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
• Demonstrated success in designing and securing hyper-scale network environments.
• Proficiency in OCI, GCP, AWS, and Azure cybersecurity frameworks (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Mellanox/Cumulus OS and network routing paradigms (preferred).
• Ability to leverage Python, Shell scripting, and AI coding tools for automation (preferred).
