We are seeking a Senior Engineer with extensive experience in developer tools and technologies to join our AI Cloud and Developer Infrastructure team at GM. Key responsibilities include partnering with engineering teams to optimize tool usage, evaluating new technologies through PoCs, and mentoring junior engineers. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in designing scalable production systems at scale, proficiency in Go or similar languages, and familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, and observability pipelines. This role is integral to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our AV Developer Productivity Org.

What you'll do

Evaluate new tools and technologies to influence the team’s technical roadmap.
Mentor junior engineers and promote their growth within the organization.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience designing and operating production systems at scale in the cloud.
Strong understanding of AI engineering principles and concepts.
Experience with Go or equivalent languages, Kubernetes, Docker, and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence engineers across teams.
Skilled in defining SLIs/SLOs and contributing to open-source projects.
