Senior ML/AI Engineer, Observability

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain observability systems to improve performance and reliability for internal engineering teams.
• Create tools that enable engineers to collect and act on signals from distributed cloud systems and vehicle sensors.
• Design technical architectures and perform code reviews to enhance the developer inner loop experience.
• Identify high-ROI investments and evaluate new technologies through proofs of concept to shape the team roadmap.
• Partner with software engineering teams to identify use cases and guide them in using existing tools effectively.
• Establish and enforce software engineering best practices across the autonomous vehicle organization.
• Mentor and grow the technical skills of junior engineers across the organization.
• Balance the delivery of immediate business impact with the management of technical debt.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production systems at scale in the cloud.
• Understanding of AI Engineering principles and concepts.
• Experience designing highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable services.
• Proficiency in writing Go or other equivalent languages at production scale.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux, SSH, and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to lead, influence others, and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong communication skills to research, document, and defend technical proposals.
