Senior Mechanical Engineer, Undersea Reconnaissance & Strike

What you'll do

• Manage the full product lifecycle from initial design iterations through manufacturing and final delivery.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to create low-cost designs that scale from prototypes to production.
• Evaluate mechanical solutions based on end-user value, cost, manufacturability, reliability, and reusability.
• Make practical engineering trade-offs to maintain project momentum in a fast-paced environment.
• Interact with end-users to gather feedback and incorporate it into technical designs.
• Support integration and testing activities for complex electromechanical systems.
• Navigate complex solution spaces involving evolving requirements, timeline constraints, and multi-stakeholder environments.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a relevant field.
• 7+ years of professional experience as a Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer.
• Experience taking designs from concept through multiple iterations into manufactured products.
• Ability to work on complex electromechanical systems across design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
• Experience in subsea, maritime, or autonomous underwater vehicle development is preferred.
• Experience in aviation, robotics, or consumer products hardware is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, sheet metal, injection molding, composites, and additive manufacturing is preferred.
