Senior Manager, Staff Software Engineering, Applied AI

What you'll do

• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams responsible for critical Applied AI platform capabilities.
• Define and drive technical strategy for foundational AI platforms, including shared services and agentic workflows.
• Translate complex business needs into scalable platform solutions in partnership with product and architecture leaders.
• Oversee the design and delivery of secure, resilient, and extensible systems for multi-channel AI experiences.
• Establish engineering standards across architecture, development, quality, observability, and operations.
• Cultivate a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Balance near-term execution with long-term platform vision to ensure organizational scalability.

What we're looking for

• 12+ years of software engineering experience including building distributed systems and platform capabilities at scale.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
• Strong technical background in platform engineering, APIs, orchestration systems, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience leading Applied AI, intelligent systems, conversational AI, or workflow automation initiatives in production environments.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional strategy and drive execution across complex organizations.
• Excellent communication skills, sound technical judgment, and strong people leadership.
• Experience with large language model applications, agent frameworks, AI orchestration, evaluation, or governance (preferred).
• Experience building platforms for customer-facing/internal assistants and hiring/developing engineering talent (preferred).
