Senior Manager, Staff Software Engineering

What you'll do

• Define and execute a technical roadmap to increase product delivery velocity and unlock new engineering capabilities.
• Drive system design, architecture, and implementation to improve application performance, capacity, availability, and reliability.
• Design and evolve cloud infrastructure, services, and high-scale data architectures for legacy-to-modern platform transitions.
• Provide technical leadership and thought leadership across multiple areas and the broader enterprise.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify performance pain points and formulate sustainable strategies to address recurring issues.
• Manage project dependencies, negotiate delivery dates with stakeholders, and report on key business metrics and progress.
• Identify project risks and present detailed, implementable solutions or alternatives to leadership.
• Mentor team members to address skill gaps and cultivate a culture of knowledge sharing and achievement.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in a leadership position.
• 6+ years of coding experience in Java or .Net.
• 5+ years of development experience in a large-scale, mission-critical environment.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience supervising personnel in a technical environment.
• Proven expertise in designing and developing microservices using GraphQL, gRPC, Java, Python, and Kafka.
• Deep knowledge of ETL, SQL, bitemporal data modeling, and temporal databases.
• Extensive experience leading and building full-stack application and service development for SAAS products.
• Strong understanding of open-source databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, and No-SQL databases like Cosmos or Cassandra.
