The successful candidate will build and deploy predictive and machine learning models, such as logistic regression, gradient boosting, and random forests, to identify barriers to patient access and improve conversion rates. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing advanced analytical solutions, managing data for performance dashboards, and collaborating with internal teams to monitor model production. Required technical skills include proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and machine learning libraries like scikit-learn or XGBoost. The role addresses critical pharmaceutical access challenges by utilizing IQVIA and Symphony data to optimize the patient treatment journey.

What you'll do

  • Map patient journey workflows and identify access barriers using machine learning techniques like dropout prediction and conversion scoring.
  • Develop and maintain advanced analytical solutions, including supervised/unsupervised ML models and segmentation frameworks to explain drivers of patient outcomes.
  • Provide data support for dashboards that track the performance of Copay, Field Reimbursement Managers, and Prior Authorization programs.
  • Utilize third-party vendor data from sources like IQVIA and Symphony to accelerate and facilitate the patient journey.
  • Identify and escalate key business issues related to program execution while considering multiple stakeholder perspectives.
  • Drive the adoption of ML-driven tools and capabilities in collaboration with Market Access and Brand teams.
  • Provide copay forecasting capabilities and insights regarding impacts from design changes or competitor actions.
  • Manage the production, monitoring, and retraining workflows for deployed models to ensure consistent performance over time.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline required.
  • Master’s Degree in a quantitative or data science field (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in quantitative analysis of operational, sales, or marketing data to develop business plans and strategies.
  • Hands-on experience building, validating, and deploying predictive models using techniques such as logistic regression, gradient boosting, random forests, or clustering.
  • Proficiency in Python or R with experience using ML libraries like scikit-learn or XGBoost required.
  • Knowledge of the pharma ecosystem and datasets including physician prescribing, institutional sales, and claims data (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MLflow, Databricks, or cloud-based ML platforms (preferred).
  • Experience with NLP libraries/text analytics (preferred) and knowledge of BI tools and SQL/HIVE/IMPALA (preferred).
