Senior Manager, Data Operations Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of Data Operations Engineers to achieve organizational goals.
• Own the strategic vision and roadmaps for large-scale data collection and user study operations.
• Execute large-scale data collections and user studies for algorithm development globally.
• Partner with hardware, software, and infrastructure leaders to define requirements and resolve blockers.
• Oversee headcount planning, hiring, and onboarding to build a diverse, high-performing team.
• Direct the bring-up and maintenance of pre-release hardware and software platforms.
• Establish and scale operational processes for vendor management, study design, and data offload.
• Present program health, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior executive leadership.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience with a track record of building high-performing technical teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Apple and vendor study locations at least 10–15% of the year.
• Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Experience scoping, bidding, and contracting third-party vendors for short and long-term projects at scale (preferred).
• Strong background in creating complex roadmaps and schedules with timely delivery across multiple concurrent work streams (preferred).
• Exceptional cross-functional influence to drive alignment across engineering, operations, and research organizations without direct authority (preferred).
