As the Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering, you will join the OCI AI Infrastructure team to lead and support the AI Data Plane team. You will utilize technologies such as RoCE and InfiniBand while collaborating with Network and Data Center operations. This position addresses the technical challenge of scaling from tens to thousands of GPUs for hyper-scale customers by ensuring performance in mission-critical, high-scalability, and low-latency environments.

What you'll do

  • Manage the engineering lifecycle of high-performance GPU platforms and distributed AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical roadmaps and prioritize feature development for cloud services.
  • Break down complex, large-scale projects into manageable tasks and actionable execution plans.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and career development for a team of engineers.
  • Forecast staffing needs and partner with recruiting teams to hire new engineering talent.
  • Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks to improve overall engineering velocity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams including Product Management, Network, and Data Center operations.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field.
  • 4+ years of experience in engineering management and people management.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large cross-functional projects for distributed services in cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Strong technical knowledge in distributed systems, high performance computing, and GPU systems.
  • Proven expertise in high scalability, availability, and low-latency domains.
  • Experience working in cloud platforms such as AWS, OCI, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
