What you'll do

  • Lead the mechanical design and thermal management of high-voltage battery systems.
  • Manage a team of mechanical engineers to develop battery pack structural frames.
  • Oversee the integration of cell-to-pack designs ensuring IP67/68 sealing standards.
  • Define assembly processes and tooling requirements for high-rate manufacturing.
  • Execute qualification test plans including shock, vibration, and thermal cycling tests.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for high-voltage lithium-ion battery packs.
  • 3+ years of direct management and leadership experience with engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in mechanical design tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) and PLM systems.
  • Strong understanding of battery pack safety principles and thermal runaway isolation.
  • Hands-on experience with finite element analysis for structural/vibration and CFD for thermal management.
  • Familiarity with battery standards and regulatory testing such as UN 38.3 and MIL-STD-810H.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or automotive EV sectors (e.g., Tesla, SpaceX).
