What you'll do

Design software systems and algorithms for performant, scalable training and inference across on-device and server environments.
Develop core components for a centralized, large-scale machine learning platform.
Optimize training and inference speeds while improving the scalability of deep learning models.
Create new techniques to overcome existing system constraints in high-performance ML infrastructure.
Implement PyTorch-focused optimizations to drive system-level efficiency for large-scale models.
Develop and maintain state-of-the-art machine learning frameworks and tools.
Build and optimize model architectures for on-device inference.
Contribute to the open-source community by releasing research and infrastructure improvements.

What we're looking for

PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
3+ years of experience in the AI/ML field.
Strong Python programming skills.
Solid understanding of software–hardware co-design principles and algorithms.
Solid understanding of the PyTorch software stack and experience maintaining state-of-the-art ML frameworks.
Strong understanding of LLM architectures and their core building blocks.
Experience with parallel training libraries such as PyTorch Distributed, DeepSpeed, or FairScale.
Experience building ML models for on-device inference.
