You will collaborate closely with researchers and data scientists to fine-tune domain-specific LLMs and translate product requirements into engineering tasks. The role requires expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX, as well as a strong background in deep learning and NLP. This position involves working on cutting-edge generative AI technologies at scale, addressing complex business challenges within Apple’s expansive ecosystem.

What you'll do

Conduct research and development on state-of-the-art deep learning and large language models for Apple’s AI-powered products.
Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate domain-specific Large Language Models for NLP tasks like summarization and question answering.
Translate product requirements into modeling and engineering tasks for AI applications.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in deep learning and large language models.

What we're looking for

2+ years of experience in deep learning or LLM development for NLP tasks.
Hands-on experience with Python and at least one deep learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX).
Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field.
Experience in fine-tuning large language models using various techniques like SFT, preference-based tuning, and LoRA.
Ability to translate product requirements into modeling and engineering tasks.
Stay current with advancements in deep learning and LLMs.
