As a Senior Linux System Engineer - ACS, you will build and solve production systems at scale across multi-datacenter deployments with heterogeneous hardware. Your daily work involves managing the lifecycle of RedHat, OEL, and CentOS systems, including automated installations, kernel compilation, and performance troubleshooting. The role requires experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hive, Pig, Spark, HDFS, HBase, Oozie, and Zookeeper. You will evolve the Analytics Platform by writing code, performing tests, and participating in code reviews to ensure robust system validation across baremetal and virtual machines.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain large-scale Linux production systems across multi-datacenter environments with heterogeneous hardware.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts using Bash, Python, or Go to support infrastructure.
  • Design and manage orchestration pipelines using Ansible and Puppet for provisioning and monitoring.
  • Perform end-to-end system validation and troubleshoot issues within the UNIX and TCP/IP network stacks.
  • Manage Linux OS lifecycles including automated installations, kernel compilation, and performance profiling.
  • Maintain and evolve the Analytics Platform based on specific technical requirements.
  • Write code, perform testing, and participate in peer code reviews for infrastructure components.

What we're looking for

  • Experience building and troubleshooting Linux production systems at scale across multi-datacenter deployments with heterogeneous hardware.
  • Ability to build automation tools and scripts using Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Experience designing and supporting orchestration pipelines using Ansible and Puppet.
  • Proficiency in managing RedHat, OEL, and CentOS systems including automated installation, kernel validation, and performance profiling.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting UNIX and TCP/IP network stack components.
  • Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hive, Pig, Spark, HDFS, HBase, Oozie, and Zookeeper (preferred).
