JOB TITLE: Senior Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Treasury and Chief Investment Office Technology team, you will serve as the technical lead for ALMonD, a simulation platform for modeling interest rate scenarios. You will define the front-end and full-stack architecture, building Python and Java services on AWS to connect users to a high-performance simulation engine. Your daily work involves developing React and TypeScript user interfaces, creating high-performance data visualizations, and translating quantitative requirements into intuitive workflows. You will lead the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI tools for engineering practices while ensuring secure, scalable, and observable production code. Key responsibilities include mentoring engineers, managing API integrations, and ensuring web security and accessibility standards are met within a regulated financial services environment.

What you'll do

Set the technical architecture for the ALMonD web platform across the front end, service layer, and simulation engine.
Build and maintain full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Python, and Java services deployed on AWS.
Design intuitive workflows and high-performance data visualizations for complex interest rate simulations and risk metrics.
Lead the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI tools for coding, refactoring, and automated testing.
Prototype and integrate AI features such as natural language scenario setup and automated explanations of simulation results.
Enforce engineering standards for security-by-design, accessibility, performance, and automated testing.
Write production-grade code and implement observability for logs, metrics, and tracing across all services.
Mentor the engineering team through design reviews, pair programming, and hands-on technical guidance.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced Python proficiency for building production services, APIs, and performance tuning.
Working experience with Java services, including the ability to contribute to and review Java code.
Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript/JavaScript, including modern state management and component-based architecture.
Strong hands-on system design and full-stack development skills with demonstrated production ownership.
Experience building data-heavy user interfaces, authenticated API integrations, and applications deployed on AWS.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering.
Proven track record of technical leadership, including driving architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
