Senior Lead Software Engineer, C++ Low Latency

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and external vendors.
• Drive decisions regarding product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in specific technical areas and firmwide software development frameworks.
• Lead the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
• Influence project decision-makers to adopt and implement leading-edge technologies.
• Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve value at scale.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated skills in programming languages C and C++.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines like cloud or AI.
• Practical cloud native experience.
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience working within the Financial Services Industry (preferred).
