As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within Cloud Foundational Services, you will set the technical direction and lead the delivery of secure, scalable, self-service platform capabilities. Your daily responsibilities include owning the Terraform strategy for enterprise module standards, state management, and CI/CD integration. You will build platform automation and services using Python to handle workflows and AWS API integrations. You must ensure secure-by-default designs involving IAM, network segmentation, and KMS encryption. This role requires deep expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Python to solve complex cross-cutting technical issues. You will mentor engineers and partner with security and architecture teams to provide foundational cloud services in a large-scale enterprise environment.

What you'll do

Set technical direction and lead delivery for developer platform capabilities spanning AWS networking, EC2, and storage.
Own the Terraform strategy including enterprise module standards, state management, CI/CD integration, and governance.
Build platform automation and services using Python to integrate with AWS APIs.
Design and implement secure-by-default configurations for IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and storage.
Lead design reviews and resolve complex cross-cutting technical issues across multiple teams.
Drive reliability through the automation and standardization of cloud foundational services.
Mentor engineers and influence engineering best practices across the organization.

What we're looking for

7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership across multiple teams and initiatives.
Deep hands-on AWS expertise in networking, EC2, and storage.
Terraform expertise including enterprise-scale module development and operating IaC across environments.
Python expertise for platform automation and services.
Experience with system design, CI/CD, SDLC, security, resiliency, and operational stability in production environments.
Proven track record building and governing reusable Terraform modules (preferred).
Experience delivering shared platforms or foundational services in a large-scale enterprise environment (preferred).
