As a Senior Lead, Product Operations on Shopify’s Growth Team, you will be an individual contributor responsible for building and running large-scale systems to ensure alignment, visibility, and speed in product development processes. You will partner with leaders across Product, UX, Engineering, and Data to drive planning initiatives, including roadmap planning and executive reviews, while defining and improving company-wide processes that scale to Shopify as a whole. Your role involves communicating progress and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels and mentoring other product operators to enhance the craft of Product Operations at Shopify. You will leverage AI to increase scale, speed, and ambition across R&D teams, solving complex operational challenges affecting multiple product areas and the entire company. This position requires experience in driving strategic initiatives, designing effective processes, and excellent communication skills to influence and enable product teams in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Remove roadblocks to product development by solving bottlenecks and accelerating decisions.
  • Gather and analyze large amounts of data quickly to inform platform and launch decisions.
  • Structure and solve complex challenges affecting multiple product areas and the company as a whole.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align Growth’s planning and drive momentum in shipping value.
  • Build systems for frequent alignment, accountability, and feedback within areas managing dozens of projects.
  • Mentor Product Operations team members across Shopify to improve processes and build a world-class team.

  • Skilled in designing and implementing effective processes for cross-functional teams.
