The Senior IT Program Manager joins the Value Management Office Delivery Project & Program Management organization to oversee the execution of moderately complex IT initiatives. This role involves leading cross-functional projects from initiation through stabilization, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, and quality standards while managing risks, issues, and dependencies. The candidate will translate objectives into detailed project plans, manage demand intake processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and validation requirements for clinical and regulatory systems. Essential technical skills include experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, JAVA, Visual Basic, MS Project, IIS, and web technologies like HTML, XML, and JavaScript. The role requires expertise in electronic document management, data warehousing, and database technologies to support validated applications within a pharmaceutical environment, specifically addressing the complexities of regulatory filings and commercial operations.
Lead or support the execution of moderately complex IT initiatives from initiation through stabilization.
Translate defined business objectives into detailed project plans, milestones, and specific deliverables.
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and scope to ensure predictable delivery.
Ensure all projects comply with regulatory, validation, and pharmaceutical industry requirements.
Prepare and maintain consistent reporting for project portfolios and steering committees.
Coordinate initiative delivery with established platform roadmaps and technology plans.
Track and report on defined value-realization measures for business outcomes.
Manage the demand intake process in partnership with IT Business Partners.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a similar field.
Master's degree in computer science, IT, or a similar field with 2+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
4+ years of IT experience in a pharmaceutical company with exposure to FDA regulations.
Experience supporting validated applications for regulatory purposes in a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
Strong knowledge of web application technology, electronic document management systems, and electronic publishing systems for regulatory filings.
In-depth experience in database technologies and data warehousing/data mining.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS SQL Server, Oracle, JAVA, Visual Basic, MS Access, MS Project, IIS, and advanced web technologies.
Knowledge of Commercial Operations, including field/product support and Omnichannel activities.
