As a Senior Infrastructure Reliability Engineer, you will join the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering team to manage the infrastructure and operations behind core developer tools and on-prem compute platforms. You will also manage Linux environments, utilize configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet, and develop scripts in Python, Go, or Bash. This position focuses on providing SRE capabilities for on-prem systems to support simulation and GPU workloads within a complex technical environment.

What you'll do

Manage the full lifecycle of core developer tools including patching, upgrades, backups, and scaling.
Design and implement automated systems for infrastructure maintenance and data backup validation.
Use Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform to manage on-prem and cloud environments.
Operate and troubleshoot production systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms.
Define and maintain SLOs for service availability, reliability, and performance.
Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for internal developer tool services.
Lead incident response efforts and perform root cause analysis for critical system failures.

What we're looking for

Experience operating infrastructure outside of managed cloud services, including bare-metal Kubernetes and on-prem virtualization.
Experience operating production systems using Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong foundational knowledge of Linux distributions such as RHEL and Ubuntu.
Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience managing infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
Experience with configuration management tooling such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Scripting or software development experience in languages like Python, Go, or Bash.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
