Senior Hardware Engineer – Network Technology and Design: SerDes

What you'll do

• Lead hardware development of wired connectivity technology, ensuring successful integration with ECU design.
• Perform detailed hardware analysis including worst-case scenarios and signal integrity assessments.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and execute bench tests throughout the product lifecycle.
• Establish domain expertise in semiconductors and electronic control unit product lines within GM’s scope.
• Manage technology roadmaps in collaboration with industry leaders to drive innovation.

What we're looking for

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Science required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in automotive OEMs, semiconductor suppliers, or Tier 1 ECU suppliers.
• 3+ years of hands-on electronic hardware design and development experience.
• Proficiency in circuit design, schematic creation, PCB layout, and using Mentor Graphics Xpedition/ORCAD.
• Experience with lab equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.
• Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to lead projects to completion.
