JOB TITLE: Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Arsenal 2) The Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer joins the Maritime Digital Production team to build full-stack web applications for the ArsenalOS initiative. You will develop offline-capable, mobile-friendly interfaces for daily production planning and work assignment on the factory floor. Key responsibilities include owning manufacturing software requirements, designing robust offline-first architectures using service workers and local storage, and implementing data synchronization strategies for edge compute and OT networks. You will utilize JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js to solve complex manufacturing problems. The role focuses on digitizing the manufacturing lifecycle, specifically creating systems where factory-floor machines and edge compute meet enterprise platforms. You will ensure high availability and reliability in network-constrained environments to support real-time production execution and shipbuilding operations.

What you'll do

Build full-stack web applications for production planning, work assignment, and team-lead operational dashboards.
Develop offline-capable and mobile-friendly interfaces for use in network-constrained factory environments.
Design and implement robust offline-first architectures using service workers, local storage, and background sync.
Architect and implement data synchronization strategies to maintain integrity between edge devices and backend systems.
Deploy and operate software systems across factory environments, including edge compute clusters and OT networks.
Own manufacturing software requirements end-to-end and make build-vs-extend decisions for new features.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support production factory systems.
Set technical direction and mentor junior engineers on building resilient manufacturing software.

What we're looking for

8+ years of experience in a software engineering role building production systems.
Deep expertise in full-stack web development with mastery of both frontend and backend systems.
Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and modern web frameworks.
Experience building offline-capable web applications using service workers, IndexedDB, local storage, and PWA patterns.
Experience building systems for high availability, low latency, or constrained operational environments.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance (preferred).
