Experience in banking or fintech is preferred, as well as expertise in building financial infrastructure and supporting internal controls and audits.

What you'll do

Lead engineering teams responsible for critical areas of Upstart Bank's platform.
Translate business and regulatory needs into technical plans and delivered software.

Manage cross-functional dependencies to improve predictability and quality of delivery.
Build processes that support internal controls, audits, change management, and reliable operation.

What we're looking for

8+ years of engineering experience including 3+ years in management.
Proven track record leading complex cross-functional platform initiatives.
Strong technical background with expertise in distributed systems and cloud platforms.
Experience operating in regulated environments focusing on quality, auditability, and change management.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Demonstrated ability to balance speed, quality, reliability, and compliance.
