Senior Engineering Manager, Agent Platform, AI Platform

What you'll do

• Set the platform's technical strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for the agent-specific foundation.
• Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of senior engineers to deliver outsized impact.
• Make critical build, adopt, or partner decisions to define platform ownership and interfaces.
• Develop platform primitives for agent reasoning trajectories, memory, evaluation signals, and feedback loops.
• Represent the team in senior technical forums and build cross-team alignment with peer leaders.
• Design and operate scalable runtimes, identity, and permissioning systems for agentic workloads.
• Manage the platform's charter and scope against organizational pressure to ensure high-leverage focus.

What we're looking for

• Experience leading and growing engineering teams that build and operate platform or infrastructure at scale.
• Experience managing senior individual contributors and/or managers with a track record of developing strong engineers.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating agentic systems in production, including runtimes, tool use, memory, and evaluation.
• Strong engineering foundation in distributed systems, cloud, and ML/AI infrastructure to lead hard architectural decisions.
• Track record of owning a platform's charter, setting direction, and making build-versus-partner decisions on a multi-year horizon.
• Proven ability to build shared accountability with senior leaders across platform, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead both 0-to-1 and 1-to-100 work.
• Experience with agent identity, permissioning, guardrails, safety, and cost governance for LLM workloads (preferred).
