Senior Engineering Lead, Generative AI Platform

What you'll do

• Lead the development and maintenance of a platform for experimenting with and deploying Generative AI systems.
• Provide tooling, guidance, and safety guardrails for internal teams using LLMs and agentic frameworks.
• Manage the sustainable growth of the AI enablement function by leading other engineering leads and shaping multiple teams.
• Ensure high availability, security, and observability for cloud-based services and libraries.
• Develop scalable Python-based microservices and distributed systems to support production environments.
• Negotiate with vendors and communicate infrastructure costs to the business.
• Mentor junior engineers and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• You have a solid engineering background in Python with years of experience putting solutions into production and maintaining them.
• You have high coding standards, including an understanding of test coverage best practices and the test pyramid concept.
• You have experience deploying microservices to cloud-based systems.
• You have experience designing and implementing distributed and concurrent systems.
• You have knowledge and experience with LLMs and building LLM-based applications.
• You have experience with agentic frameworks and designing agentic-based workflows.
• You are an experienced leader capable of guiding engineering teams through complex project delivery using agile and traditional methodologies.
• You possess strong communication skills to build consensus, mentor junior engineers, and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
