The Senior Engineer - Computer Vision, Imaging & Measurement Systems joins the Applications Engineering & Process Development organization to develop imaging, measurement, and automation solutions. This role involves designing and validating automated systems using cameras, 3D imaging, thermal imaging, ultrasound, and high-speed imaging to support research, product development, and process optimization. Key responsibilities include developing software for image acquisition, analysis, and visualization, as well as applying data science, machine learning, and AI techniques to address complex technical challenges. The candidate will build applications, dashboards, and user interfaces for equipment control and data interpretation. Core competencies include image processing, industrial automation, PLC programming, and robotic systems. The work focuses on improving manufacturing and laboratory equipment to enhance data quality, accelerate learning cycles, and improve operational efficiency.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
7+ years of progressive experience in imaging systems, image processing, measurement system development, software engineering, and/or industrial automation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal customers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Ability to access export-controlled technology, technical data, or defense services as authorized by U.S. regulations.
Experience with line-scan imaging, multispectral imaging, 3D profilometry, and/or ultrasonic imaging (preferred).
Experience applying machine learning to imaging, inspection, or measurement applications (preferred).
Experience with PLC programming, robotic systems, and/or electromechanical systems (preferred).
