Senior Embedded System Software Engineer, Platform Execution Lead

What you'll do

• Lead SoC and platform bring-up for edge AI products from early prototypes through high-volume production.
• Drive the end-to-end platform Linux software roadmap by defining deliverables and prioritizing work.
• Build, develop, and debug low-level Linux system software including bootloaders, firmware, kernels, and device drivers.
• Act as the technical program owner to track risks, maintain schedules, and provide status updates for software bring-up.
• Root-cause complex hardware/software interaction issues by collaborating with silicon, board build, and validation teams.
• Develop factory test and provisioning software, automation, and diagnostic tools to support high-volume manufacturing.
• Analyze logs and field data to improve platform stability, robustness, and test strategies for edge use cases.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish guidelines for Linux bring-up, debugging, and project documentation.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Substantial industry experience in system/embedded software.
• Demonstrated experience managing SoC or complex board/platform bring-up in a technical lead role.
• Expert proficiency in Linux system and kernel development with solid C/C++ abilities.
• Deep understanding of CPU/SoC architectures, memory/power subsystems, and high-speed interfaces like PCIe and DDR.
• Demonstrated expertise in hardware-aware debugging using JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and in-circuit debuggers.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or shell for automation, data analysis, and tooling.
