Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer, SoC

What you'll do

• Conduct technical evaluations and trade-off studies on SoCs to identify optimal components for automotive applications.
• Design and manage application schematics centered around SoCs for ECU development.
• Develop robust component specifications to facilitate timely sourcing decisions aligned with vehicle program milestones.
• Execute test plans for board bring-up and early validation of silicon devices to ensure design intent.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams throughout the design cycle and selection process.
• Analyze SoC capabilities and influence selection decisions in collaboration with internal teams and silicon vendors.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in hardware design and development with significant system-level ownership.
• Knowledge of SoC subsystems and IP blocks including memory, analog, processor cores, interconnects, and peripherals.
• Proficiency in SoC analysis, selection, benchmarking, and technical trade-off evaluations.
• Experience with circuit design tools, worst case analysis, DFMEA, and schematic capture tools like Mentor Graphics.
• Experience in silicon bring up, ECU level hardware integration, and validation using tools such as oscilloscopes.
• Experience with Wireless Connectivity SoCs and related technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular (preferred).
