TL;DR · Senior Electrical Engineer, PCBA Designer

Senior Electrical Engineer- PCBA Designer As a Senior Electrical Engineer- PCBA Designer, you will join the team to develop highly reliable electronic systems and connectivity solutions for EUV source and lithography technology. You will lead the design, integration, and validation of complex electronic connectivity architectures, including PCBAs, cabling, harnesses, racks, and subsystem interconnects. Your daily responsibilities involve defining hardware requirements, performing trade studies, and driving EMC/EMI compliance throughout the product lifecycle. You will utilize tools like Altium Designer or XPedition to support schematic capture and component selection. Key technical skills include knowledge of PCIe, EtherCAT, Ethernet, VHDL, and differential signaling. You will solve complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment challenges by ensuring signal integrity, grounding, and shielding meet demanding safety and reliability requirements while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with global partners.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development of electrical connectivity architectures including PCBAs, cables, harnesses, and subsystem interconnects.
  • Define and maintain electronic hardware requirements, specifications, interface definitions, and validation plans.
  • Design, review, and qualify PCBAs for control, monitoring, and communication applications.
  • Perform electrical architecture trade studies to optimize performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Drive EMC/EMI compliance throughout the product development lifecycle including design reviews and qualification testing.
  • Define design rules and layout constraints for signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities at the board, module, and system levels.
  • Review supplier designs and provide technical guidance on electrical design and qualification readiness.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of industry experience in electronic hardware development.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing PCBAs and electronic modules for demanding applications.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit-design fundamentals and FPGA design technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing electrical connectivity solutions including cabling, harnesses, racks, and interconnect systems.
  • Hands-on experience with PCBA design, schematic capture, component selection, design validation, and hardware release.
  • Experience with EMC/EMI design techniques, qualification testing, and signal integrity strategies for complex electronic systems.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined by U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
