As a Senior Display and Graphics Software Engineer - Customer Engineering, you will join the Display and Graphics Software Customer Engineering team to support customers in understanding, integrating, customizing, building, and bringing up Qualcomm software on embedded platforms. You will work primarily with Linux based software on Snapdragon platforms, focusing on hardware interfaces, device drivers, display and graphics processors, kernels, and high-level OS frameworks. The role requires expert proficiency in C/C++ programming and experience in device driver programming and debugging using JTAG or other tools. You must possess a deep understanding of display and graphics technologies, software stacks, microprocessor architecture, and cache subsystems. This position involves solving technical challenges related to system performance profiling and optimization while providing essential support for the development of next-generation mobile devices including smartphones, tablets, and netbooks.
Support customers with the integration, customization, and bring-up of Qualcomm software on embedded platforms.
Debug hardware interfaces, device drivers, and display/graphics processors on Snapdragon platforms.
Provide technical training and support to customers regarding Qualcomm's software tools and technologies.
Develop and optimize Linux-based software for mobile devices including smartphones and tablets.
Perform system performance profiling and optimization techniques for graphics and display systems.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using JTAG and other specialized debugging tools.
Interface with internal teams and customers to resolve complex technical challenges in the display and graphics stack.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, OR a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, OR a PhD.
At least 1 year of academic and/or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
At least 1 year of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
Strong C/C++ programming skills.
Experience in device driver programming and debugging using JTAG or other tools.
Knowledge of display and graphics technologies, software stack, Linux kernel, and GPU processing.
Knowledge of microprocessor architecture and cache subsystems.
Knowledge of OS/system performance profiling and optimization techniques (preferred).
