Senior Design Manager, Design Studio - Employee Experience & Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage a team of product designers including hiring, career development, and performance management.
• Ensure all products meet Apple's standards for craft, usability, and polish.
• Partner with engineering and product leads to define product direction and prioritize design efforts.
• Drive end-to-end product design from initial research and prototyping through final delivery.
• Establish and maintain design standards, patterns, and best practices across the studio.
• Represent the design team at the leadership level to influence product decisions and advocate for quality.
• Manage multiple concurrent design engagements across different product teams and timelines.

What we're looking for

• 12+ years of product design experience.
• At least 7 years of experience managing design teams.
• Experience designing for Apple platforms including iOS, macOS, and iPadOS.
• A strong portfolio of shipped enterprise and consumer products demonstrating design quality at scale.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain high-performing designers.
• Deep craft sensibility in typography, layout, interaction design, motion, and accessibility.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical design practices including privacy, inclusivity, and responsible AI use.
• Experience with enterprise products is a strong plus (preferred).
