What you'll do

Design, build, and maintain ETL/data normalization pipelines on Databricks and AWS.
Create governed, well-documented, and AI-ready datasets in Unity Catalog.
Work with data owners to catalog, describe, and permission new data sources.
Translate scientific questions into data models and SQL queries for stakeholders.
Implement test-driven development using unit tests, regression tests, and GitHub Actions.
Engineer robust infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
Prepare feature-ready datasets to support ML and GenAI workloads on NVIDIA clusters.
Perform cybersecurity scans and remediate vulnerabilities within enterprise timelines.

What we're looking for

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated experience building production data pipelines (ETL/ELT) at scale.
Very strong SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in Python for data engineering and data science.
AWS experience with S3, IAM, Glue, Lambda, ECS, and Fargate.
Experience with containerized service deployment using Docker, AWS CDK/CloudFormation, and GitHub Actions.
Fluency in GitHub, command-line tools, and daily hands-on use of Claude Code.
Hands-on experience with life sciences data including clinical, molecular, and assay data.
