Senior Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Translate business needs into scalable data models, metrics, and technical solutions by partnering with product teams.
• Design, build, and scale data pipelines that transform data from multiple sources into trusted, accessible datasets.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of metrics and data products from initial prototyping through production and maintenance.
• Lead the data strategy across multiple domains to drive alignment on scalable technical foundations and long-term investments.
• Establish and promote data engineering best practices and governance frameworks across the organization.
• Mentor engineers and provide hands-on technical guidance to raise the technical bar across the company.
• Leverage AI-assisted development to accelerate engineering productivity and build foundations for AI-native insights.

What we're looking for

• You must have 8+ years of overall software engineering or data engineering experience.
• You must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with data architecture, data modeling, data management, and metadata management.
• You must have deep expertise in SQL and experience designing scalable data pipelines and transformations for large datasets.
• You must be proficient in at least one programming language commonly used in Data Engineering, such as Python or Java.
• You must have hands-on experience with large-scale data technologies such as Snowflake, Spark, Airflow, and Hive.
• You must have experience with relational and NoSQL data stores and various modeling approaches like star, snowflake, and dimensional schemas.
• You must be familiar with data governance frameworks, software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, and Agile methodologies.
• You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
