Senior CX Platform Engineer

What you'll do

• Use AI coding agents like Claude Code and GitLab Duo to plan, implement, test, and review production code.
• Build and maintain an agent harness including shared conventions, skills, slash commands, and continuous integration checks.
• Ship multi-step AI workflows for account research, success planning, and customer onboarding as plugins for non-engineers.
• Develop MCP servers and connectors to provide governed access to enterprise systems like Salesforce, Snowflake, and Gainsight.
• Manage the CX Application Platform's AWS infrastructure, including ECS, RDS, Lambda, and Terraform configurations.
• Develop and deploy production-quality Python and TypeScript applications through GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Prototype new applications with CX teams and convert field learning into reusable reference implementations and development paths.
• Mentor engineers and non-engineers on agentic development while contributing upstream to GitLab products.

What we're looking for

• Experience building and operating production software from ambiguity to production.
• Daily, hands-on use of coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitLab Duo on production work.
• Experience building with LLMs including tool use, MCP servers, agent loops, and prompt/workflow design.
• Strong Python skills with FastAPI or Flask and TypeScript skills with Vue or React.
• Hands-on experience with AWS ECS, RDS, Lambda, Terraform, and Docker.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems through REST and GraphQL APIs with fluency in Git and CI/CD.
• Experience translating non-engineering workflows into technical plans and asynchronous design documents.
• Optional experience includes agent harness customization, GitLab Development Kit, or experience with Salesforce, Gainsight, or Snowflake (preferred).
