What you'll do

Architect and deliver cloud-scale backend services for the OCI Web Application Firewall platform.
Design high-availability systems for policy management, rule evaluation, bot mitigation, and API protection.
Build distributed systems to process large volumes of HTTP/HTTPS traffic with low latency.
Establish robust observability through metrics, logging, tracing, and performance monitoring.
Lead automation initiatives including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Drive reliability through capacity planning, incident response, and root cause analysis.
Mentor engineers and influence technical strategy across multiple engineering teams.

What we're looking for

Must have 5+ years of experience building production software systems and large-scale distributed services in cloud or SaaS environments.
Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java, Go, Python, C++, or Rust.
Deep expertise in distributed systems design including scalability, resiliency, concurrency, fault tolerance, and API design.
Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, TLS, reverse proxies, caching, load balancing, and web architectures.
Experience with cloud-native technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automated testing.
Proven ability to build observability solutions using metrics, distributed tracing, centralized logging, and alerting systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions across multiple engineering teams.
Experience building security products such as WAF, API Security, Bot Management, or high-throughput analytics pipelines is preferred.
