Key technical requirements include proficiency in ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, and Ethernet IP protocols, as well as experience with SCADA, OT Networking, pneumatic design, and NFPA70e safety practices. You will solve complex manufacturing challenges by ensuring high-volume production reliability through robust control systems, electrical component selection, and proactive troubleshooting of automated equipment in a specialized energetics environment.

What you'll do

Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
Architect, write, and debug structured Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing applications.
Establish and enforce internal standards for control system architectures, regulatory compliance, and safety buyoffs.
Integrate FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve automation failures and ensure reliability.
Install, configure, and tune servo drives and VFDs.
Perform risk assessments and manage controls safety designs for manufacturing systems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environment.
Strong proficiency in Siemens PLC programming using Ladder and Structured Text.
Proficiency in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, and electrical component selection.
Strong knowledge of Ethernet-based communication protocols such as ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, and Ethernet IP.
Experience integrating with SCADA systems and OT Networking.
Familiarity with pneumatic concepts, Risk Assessments, Controls Safety Design, and NFPA70e safety practices.
Must be a U.S. Person to access export-controlled information or facilities.
